Dessco Countertops, Our Selection of Quartz Surface Countertops

Quartz is a relative newcomer to the countertop material industry. Commonly known products include Cambria, Caesarstone, Silestone, Zodiaq, Hanstone and Viatera. These materials are comprised of a blend of 93% quartz and 7% polyester resin that is pressed into slabs using a “vibrocompression vacuum process”. Quartz countertops offer several benefits. They are non-porous, so the material will not harbour bacteria and is stain resistant. Seams are visible. It is a very dense material, which makes it impact and scratch resistant. Quartz materials come in a wide variety of colours and patterns, some of which look like natural granite, marble, limestone and concrete. Quartz countertops are an excellent choice for both residential and commercial applications. They offer a wide range of colours and patterns and are non-porous, making them safe for use in the food service and health care industries.

The result is a beautiful quartz countertop and surfacing material that can handle anything you throw at it. This blend of nature and technology also allows us to create Radianz™ styles that go beyond the aesthetic of natural stone. Radianz™ Quartz is substantially harder than granite countertops. That means it´s not only more impact resistant, it also doesn´t require any periodic sealing. It is also non-porous, making it nearly maintenance-free.

  • Viatera

It´s made with 93% natural quartz, the fourth hardest mineral on earth. More durable and easier to maintain than any other natural stone, Viatera® is engineered to look stunning year after year. Viatera® is a beautiful non-porous material that is more hygienic and stain-resistant than other stone countertop materials such as granite and does not require sealants.

  • Diamastone

Diamastone is an engineered stone, with high quartz content, sometimes blended with other natural products, such as sand, glass, crushed granite and other stones, to obtain different design effects. All materials are bound together with a small percentage of polyester resins under high pressure and vibration in a vacuum environment. Through this process, which resembles the way nature itself created the hard natural stones, we obtain a material with extremely high physical-mechanical properties and with superior performance values.

  • Silestone

Silestone is a compound made of natural quartz, which makes it extraordinarily hard and resilient. This is the one and only countertop made of quartz with bacteriostatic protection, giving it hygienic properties that are not to be found anywhere else on the market. It is an excellent surface for kitchen countertops, bathrooms, floors and wall cladding using the minimum number of joints. Silestone offers virtually unlimited possibilities in terms of applications. Ideally suited for kitchen countertops, Silestone is also excellent for bathroom vanity tops, table tops, floors and even shelving.
